10 Secrets Behind WWE Magic Tricks

1. When The Wrestlers Emerge From Under The Ring

Have you ever wondered how a wrestler knows when to leave the ring they are hiding underneath in order to attack their opponent?

This is a signature angle, often used when a promotion wishes to debut a new talent - and is often done after the lights go off and on.

The wrestler, and this is dumb but normalised and almost invariably draws a big “Oooh” of a reaction, appears to have emerged from thin air. When they aren’t sprinting through a darkened area guided by a member of the production staff, they are hurriedly getting into the ring from underneath it.

But how do they know when?

You’d think there wouldn’t be space, given how many bloody tables and ladders are under there at seemingly all times, but there’s a monitor under the boards that allows the wrestler to receive a visual cue.

As magic tricks go, it’s hardly the bullet catch - but if people really wanted magic in their wrestling, the Undertaker would have been over in 1995.
