10 Secrets Behind WWE's Stunning Current Success

4. Nick Khan

Triple H
WWE

No longer really a secret and certainly not - as Cody Rhodes called him - an "angel", Nick Khan has nonetheless had a transformative effect on WWE's present and future in the relatively short time he's spent with the company.

Khan joined WWE as President & Chief Revenue Officer in 2020, having wowed the company and Vince McMahon specifically during 2018 television rights fee negotiations that made SmackDown on Fox the first ever billion dollar wrestling show. He'd worked for Creative Artists Agency on behalf of WWE getting that deal done, and McMahon's interest in getting the whole snake instead of working with just the head has proven fruitful ever since.

Unafraid to be the bad guy, he's an evil one in a world that rewards such "skills". Not all of his plans have hit - Money In The Bank 2022 moving from a stadium to arena was a bodyblow to his attempt to have WWE's B-shows explode outwards - but when he leaves (which will be soon based on how his types do business), he'll be remembered as one of the most important and significant executives in the company's history.
