10 Secrets To A Guaranteed POP In Wrestling

8. Saying The Word "Sh*t"

Human beings are simultaneously very complex and very simple.

In a warped way, it's almost wholesome, or reassuring, that people still clutch the pearls or express shock when they hear the word "sh*t" in a public setting. It means that the fabric of society and the conduct expected within it hasn't yet frayed into outright anarchy, which quite frankly would be thoroughly justified. Saying the word "sh*t" on national television has been permissible for several years at this point - they even drop "c*nts" on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia now - but it's a no-no in school and in the workplace.

When a wrestler in AEW - and it's always AEW, let's face it - says the word "sh*t", it is guaranteed to generate a reaction.

"I'm going to beat the living sh*t out of you!"

"You haven't done sh*t since you got here!"

"You're a piece of sh*t!"

"You're sh*tty!"

Can they say that?

They can, because they do so virtually every single week, but it still evokes a big massive "Ooooh!" reaction. The word "sh*t" has somehow retained the power to momentarily turn everybody into Mary Whitehouse, and virtually every AEW wrestler is brazen in their quest to wield its power.
