10 Segments Sky Sports Cut From WWE Programming Airing In The UK

This was one of the worst segments WWE ever aired. Even in the Attitude Era this was considered trash. On the 5 March 2001 episode of Raw, Vince McMahon berated Trish Stratus (pre WWE Hall of Fame and Lou Thesz Hall of Fame and WWE Diva of the Decade and seven time WWE Women’s Champion and influencing nearly every modern female wrestler) in the ring, telling her that if she wanted to keep her job she had to strip to her underwear and bark like a dog.

It was in such terrible taste Sky Sports erased it when Raw aired in the UK that week, not particularly wanting Trish woofing on all fours in the ring as her boss watched over her smirking to air on their network.

It was so offensive that the ‘Stratus dog barking segment’ was brought up and used against Linda McMahon when she ran for U.S. Senator of Connecticut during Republican debates, with opponents of hers suggesting that WWE’s stories were the real “war on women”, with one stating “I think when you force a woman to take off all her clothes in an arena, and get down on the ground and bark like a dog, I think that’s assault on women.” No argument here.
