10 Shock Returns We Could See At WWE Battleground

8. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan has already made his return to WWE. The man that is considered by many to be the greatest Superstar of all time has been back in Vince McMahon's good graces for a while now so to see him on WWE programming is perhaps not a big deal for fans anymore. But if he were to make an appearance at Battleground, then there is no doubt he would get a huge reaction from the crowd. And if he were to make the save for Jack Swagger? He would blow the roof off the arena. Swagger's feud with Rusev has rekindled a patriotic vibe from the WWE faithful. Not since the Cold War era of the 1980's have the WWE faithful rallied around an angle of this type. And it's more than just the audience playing into the characters they see on TV; they're interacting and having fun with this one. Swagger has never been bigger and Zeb Colter is in rare form. Both men are quickly becoming two of the most popular talents in WWE and it's all thanks to the hate that surrounds Rusev and Lana. What better time for the company to bring Hulk Hogan back? For the bulk of his career, Hogan was known as the all-American Superstar. He was the first one to counter any foreign threats and he was the most popular choice to defend Old Glory from anyone that dared to desecrate it. Hulk Hogan was Captain America long before John Cena was and it's a role that he still easily fits to this day. So if Jack Swagger finds himself beat down and out of options at Battleground, then fans could hear that familiar music play. And if they do, then it will certainly become one of the biggest moments in recent memory.
