10 Shock Returns We Could See At WWE Battleground

5. Christian

Christian is one of the most popular Superstars that WWE has ever seen. But his popularity has less to do with the amount of merchandise sold or the number of World Championships won. Christian's star burns bright because of the respect he has from WWE fans. For several years, Christian was one of those guys that made the Top 10 lists of fans. Those lists usually counted down Superstars that deserved more, specifically a run at the top. And Captain Charisma was typically in the top five. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that he was not given the platform that Edge was. Or perhaps it was because he was consistently a great hand but yet could not seem to get over the hump and win a World title. No matter the reason, the fact remained that Christian always had the reputation of being a guy that could not catch a break. And yet he was a favorite of fans who kept him around despite the fact he was essentially getting nothing for his efforts. But will he get one more match? Christian is just as entertaining as anyone on this list and if he's used in a wrestling role then he will certainly make the best of it. But maybe the time is right to transition him to a new spot in WWE. Maybe Christian should stand outside the ring from now on. Christian is a very devious heel and one that speaks his mind in any situation. He is very entertaining on the mic and is fully capable of holding his own against anyone in the locker room. Now imagine that confidence and that history of respect being used to get another Superstar over. The fact is that Christian would make an excellent manager. And when the time comes for him to retire from the ring, then he should definitely trade the boots for suits. Will Battleground be his debut in that role?
