10 Shock Returns We Could See At WWE Battleground

4. CM Punk

Fans either love and respect CM Punk for what he accomplished over the years in WWE or they hate him so much for leaving that they want to push him in front of a bus. Luckily for him, fans want to see him either way. And they could see him again at Battleground. Nearly six months have passed since The Best in the World decided to just go home. Since that time, many WWE fans have been speculating as to just exactly what Punk will do once he comes back. It seems that despite what popular opinion on him is right now, Punk will always have the ability to stir a conversation. And the fact that Punk's new wife AJ Lee is back in WWE has started that conversation once again. But considering that Punk's bio was recently moved to the Alumni page on WWE.com, it's probably a safe bet that he's not coming back any time soon. He reportedly just wants to enjoy life outside of the ring and he supposedly feels great now. However, that does not mean WWE would not bring him back in a heartbeat if Punk was ready to do business. And with that being the case, every pay-per-view from the time he left until right now has been yet another "what if" scenario. Battleground on July 20 is no different. A very interesting possibility for him lies with Paul Heyman. Heyman told The Authority on July 14's Monday Night Raw that he had a guaranteed plan C for the WWE World title match. And if that plan C is CM Punk, then Raw will soon get a lot more interesting. Will Punk be at Battleground?
