10. Taking It Way Too Far With The Fans
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlR8tIEaV0o Alberto Del Rio was a great heel. He was the last of a dying breed, a traditional bad guy who didn't care about being cool. He legitimately went out there and got heat by being unlikeable - something rarely done in the era of the 'cool heel'. Unfortunately, Del Rio's heel antics led to some genuine controversies. There were times when his heelisms stopped being entertaining and became upsetting. With WWE being a kid's product nowadays, a bit of sensetivity doesn't go amiss here and there. Del Rio didn't care. If you were 9 years old or 90 years old, he wanted to p**s you off. Case in example is the video above. He callously rips this little girl's sign up, resulting in her heartbroken tears. Thankfully Dolph Ziggler comes down and saves the little girls night. A similar scenario played out at a WWE live event. Del Rio tore up a young boy's Sheamus poster, which absolutely devastated the young lad. Rather than feel bad about the situation, Del Rio instead MOCKED the boy's tears. This controversy blew up for WWE when the boy's mother, Shelly Ehler, went to the media. She is quoted by TMZ saying "Take signs from adults NOT KIDS! My son was bullied by your superstars and it is not okay."
