9. Chris Jericho Smashes Shawn Michaels Through The Jeritron
When he returned in 2007, Chris Jericho didn't quite captivate fans as a babyface as he had done before. Realising that he needed to do something different in order to really capitalise on his comeback, the Canadian felt that turning heel would be the ideal scenario. Better yet, he wanted to turn villain on the beloved Shawn Michaels and kick start a lengthy feud. That's exactly what happened on the June 9, 2008 edition of Monday Night Raw. Fans probably felt the issue between both men would be over after Michaels defeated Jericho at Judgement Day, but that didn't prove to be the case. In actual fact, they were just getting started when Y2J crashed Shawn through his Jeritron on the Highlight Reel and apparently damaged the eye of his mentor. It was a quality segment, one only heightened by Jericho's staunch refusal to show any remorse over what he had done. The resultant rivalry proved to be the best of the entire year, ending with a thunderous Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight Title at No Mercy. Speaking on his podcast, Jericho says he considers this heel turn one of his greatest ever moments in wrestling.
