10 Shocking Revelations From WWE Wrestlers' Autobiographies
3. Roddy Piper Was A Member Of The Hart Family
Did you know that Roddy Piper isn't actually Scottish? Most of us were aware that he hailed from Canada long before the release of his 2002 autobiography, but many - as in, all of us - were suprised to learn that he was also a member of the Hart family.
Surprised, mainly, because WWE never made explicit reference to it in all the time both Piper and his real-life cousins, Bret and Owen, were among the company's leading stars during the late '80s and early '90s (although the build-up to WrestleMania VIII was not without one or two choice hints).
Of course, apart from a shocking reveal segment, it wouldn't have done much for either of their characters if they had. Bret was imminently to be pushed as a squeaky clean good guy, and probably didn't need the baggage of being associated with a dastardly heel like Piper.
