10 Shocking Vince McMahon Moments You Totally Don't Remember

8. Vince Gets His Daughter To Do Favours

The Ruthless Aggression Era wasn't the Ruthless Aggression Era.

Vince McMahon just said "ruthless aggression" a few times on telly, and to further illustrate that 'Ruthless Aggression' was a nonsense conjured by fans, the man who embodied that quality, John Cena, was almost fired after his sycophantic greenhorn act tumbled down the card.

In reality - through the identical format and unseemly tone of WWE programming - the Attitude Era lasted for almost a decade. The years known as 'Ruthless Aggression' saw WWE chase the misogynistic, charmless dragon, throughout which Mr. McMahon's heel character descended into hideous, overbearing parody. When he wasn't using WWE TV as a platform to molest various Divas, the character entered a grotesque Flanderisation phase, acting as antagonist to daughter Stephanie in a grim bid to regenerate the fading buzz.

As part of this twisted melodrama - which in fairness culminated in their improbably entertaining, only in 'Murica match at No Mercy 2003 - Stephanie revealed in storylines that when she was a teenager, Vince made her, erm, appease his business associates. Vince encouraged a young Stephanie to have sex with older men for his ultimate financial reward.

He literally offered to kiss and make up, and that was only slightly more of a f*cked up development.

"Why don't you do me a favour? See, I'm feeling a bit broody and, well..."
