10. Maria's Split Personality
A role often given to newcomers to the Diva division, Maria Kanellis put her all into her work as backstage interviewer for WWE following the infamous Diva Search, which had the company looking for the next Sable, Trish Stratus or Lita. Clearly, the competition was an abomination, and a complete waste of TV time, but it was clear that Maria had some personality, and was willing to learn as best she could how to fit into the WWE product. Coming up with her own ideas, the Diva pitched a story which would see her have split personality disorder. On one side, Maria would still be the bubbly, super-friendly and always happy backstage announcer, but there would be a twist - putting forward the idea that she could have another side to her persona, one altogether darker and more sinister, Maria really believed the angle had legs. Reportedly, this would all lead to the Diva throwing something at a mirror, cracking it, and emerging as the best sides of both characters, going on to win the Women's Title. The story is obviously quite out there, but at least Maria was thinking of things which could get her noticed.
