10. CM Punk Pokes Fun At Jeff Hardy (2009)
By the end of the Summer in 2009, Jeff Hardy had departed WWE. Citing burn out as a major reason for leaving, the 'Charismatic Enigma' wanted to take some time away from the rigours of the road. Shortly after disappearing from the full-time WWE roster, Hardy was in the news for various drug charges. Jeff's last in-ring appearance had come on the edition of Smackdown that aired on August 28th, '09. Going down to CM Punk in a Steel Cage Match, the pre-match stipulation decreed that Hardy's contract was "terminated". This was done to write him off TV, but it wouldn't be the last time fans would hear his trademark entrance music. Fans were ballistic, delighted to see him again. Those cheers quickly changed to booing, when it became clear that it was simply CM Punk dressed as Jeff. Punk then proceeded to tear into Hardy on the microphone, something which led to real-life heat between both men.
