10 Shocks WWE Could Pull At Royal Rumble 2019
5. There Are No Legendary Cameos In Either Rumble
Numerous posts have been popping up on wrestling forums since the start of the new year pondering which legendary cameos WWE will book at the Royal Rumble. Will The Undertaker return and be dumped out by John Cena? Maybe Shawn Michaels will defy talk of retiring again to throw his hat in the ring?
All are possible, and the writers do have a history of chucking a few entries away for the benefit of nostalgia.
What if they refrain this year and all 30 entrants to both men and women's matches are current, full-time roster members? It's amazing that this idea seems like a novelty now, not the cameo one, and it could realistically happen. It'd be a shock though, especially considering the Rumble's stature as the real kickoff to 'Mania season.
When that little WWE watermark flashes up to signal the end of the pay-per-view, we'll be utterly astonished if some legends haven't wobbled and hobbled their way down to the ring for a few brief moments of spotlight hogging.
