10 Shocks WWE Could Pull At Royal Rumble 2019

4. Drew McIntyre Doesn't Win The Men's Rumble

Similarly, eyebrows will be raised if 'Scottish Terminator' Drew McIntyre doesn't end the night with a guaranteed title match in New Jersey this spring.

To many, McIntyre is the nailed-on choice to hurl endless goons over the top rope and go on to WrestleMania glory. It makes sense; since returning last year, Drew has been stellar on the mic, steady in the ring against all-comers and finally looks poised to vindicate his 'Chosen One' gimmick from a decade ago by taking the next step.

There will be a sense of disbelief if the big man is eliminated from Rumble contention by literally anyone. That includes comeback king John Cena, a guy who is the perfect candidate for McIntyre to maul. WWE love this kind of situation, and they've pulled the rug out from underneath a surefire Royal Rumble winner more than once.

Maybe the same will happen to Drew in 2019 and someone purring away in the background will get the nod instead.
