Roman Reigns was a dead cert to win at WrestleMania 34. Nailed on. Guaranteed.

So much so in fact, that the audience destroyed the entire match as a pre-emptive process to the end of a grand plan Vince McMahon concocted at the climax of WrestleMania 31. He was robbed that night - and would journey up and down the card in the preceding years - but a big-time battle with 'The Beast' was always eventually on the cards for Roman's redemption.

Shockingly, to the soundtrack of an allegedly in-the-know crowd knowing absolutely f*ck all, Brock Lesnar bludgeoned and brutalised 'The Big Dog', taking his title with him as the 'Show Of Shows' went off the air.

After an inane worked shoot promo the following evening, Roman earned - or was granted, somehow - one last shot against Lesnar in a Saudi Arabia steel cage showdown. The surprising WrestleMania twist immediately unwound as a result, as everybody immediately assured themselves it would be at Greatest Royal Rumble where Reigns finally ascended. Details of the deal Brock signed to stick around are still unknown, so most have assumed he will at long last lay down for the Champion elect.

Dead cert to win he is, this time.

Nailed on.

Guaranteed.
