10 Shortest WWE Championship Reigns

9. Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Kane, Mankind: 1 Day

Four guys have been a member of the not so illustrious 'one day' club in WWE. The first was Hulk Hogan, who ended the short six day run championship of The Undertaker. Taker won the title at Survivor Series 1991 after Flair interfered, but due to the controversial ending to that match, a rematch was set six days later at Tuesday in Texas. However, Flair once again interfered in the match and despite Hogan's win, the title was vacated and put up for grabs in the 1992 Royal Rumble.

After Shawn Michaels infamously 'lost his smile' in early 1997, WWE hastily threw together a fatal four way main event at In Your House: Final Four where Bret Hart defeated Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Vader for the vacant WWE title. He then dropped the strap the next night on Raw to Sycho Sid; the man Michaels had been scheduled to lose the championship to before his departure.

Kane got a taste of WWE gold at King of the Ring 1998 when he beat Stone Cold Steve Austin in a First Blood match. Having backed themselves into a corner with the stipulation, WWE had no choice but to put the strap on Kane and then have him lose it right back to Austin the very next night on Monday Night Raw. It'd be another 12 years before Kane would capture another world championship in WWE.

The final man of the four, Mankind (aka Mick Foley) got his third and final run with the WWE championship courtesy of a win over Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H in a triple threat match at Summerslam 1999. The rumour is that Austin refused to lose to HHH but was willing to drop the belt to Mankind, who would then lose the WWE title the next night on Raw to Triple H. Politics, eh?
