6. Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton - Night Of Champions
When Dolph Ziggler won the Money in the Bank briefcase at the July 2012 pay-per-view of the same name, fans came to the realization that the Showoff was poised to make his long-awaited main event run. Before that occurred, however, he was tested in the form of a rivalry with "The Viper" Randy Orton. The third-generation star was on one of the hottest streaks of his career from a quality standpoint and the perfect opposition for a surging Ziggler. Together, they would craft a match that would not only be one of the night's best, but was also the launching pad for the Showoff's feud with John Cena, which would begin shortly thereafter. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwvyxm_night-of-champions-2012-randy-orton-v-dolph-ziggler_sport Ziggler dominated the action but fell prey to the RKO, as did many before him. Would it have been nice to see the burgeoning young star pick up the win, especially considering the fact that Orton was bulletproof at that point in time? Yes, but it was not a necessity. The match with Orton was merely a test for Ziggler, a test that he passed with flying colors. By the time Night of Champions went off the air, the man with the guaranteed title opportunity had left an unquestionable mark on the fans of World Wrestling Entertainment.
