10 Silliest Foreign Objects In Wrestling History

5. Cobra

Okay, so while Mr Socko might be flat out ridiculous, compared to Santino Marella's Cobra, it is the very definition of subtle restraint.

Santino is a divisive character, and the fact that his finishing move is so ridiculous doesn't exactly help matters. When he followed Foley's lead and added a tube sock to the manoeuvre, it certainly was silly. But whereas audiences by and large adored Socko, they were divided on whether or not Santino's version was actually entertaining, or whether it was the death of wrestling.

And to be fair, it's probably a little bit of both. Sometimes Santino was downright hilarious with that stupid thing and played up his ridiculous foreign object well. Other times, though, things were just a little bit too groan-inducing. That time Cobra got charmed by a flute on the side of the ring was a particularly notable example.

Either way, as far as foreign objects go, it is indeed remarkable that there have now been two wrestlers in WWE who specialised in socks. You've got to wonder when we will see number three?
