Bayley and Sasha Banks made history at NXT:Respect in more ways than one. Their face off was the first women's Ironman match, it's currently the longest Diva match in history and it was the first time women main-evented a WWE pay-per-view. The company has come under scrutiny a lot previously due to the lack of women in the main event scene. Lita, Trish Stratus and Stephanie McMahon have main evented Raw previously with two actual matches and Paige and Charlotte closed the show with their controversial contract signing a few months ago. Other than that, it's pretty unheard of to see a Divas match billed as the main event, especially at a pay per view. With the increase in talent and popularity when it comes to women's wrestling, WWE needs to capitalize on the opportunity and let a Divas match main event soon. Charlotte has spoken out about main eventing and her plans for WrestleMania, and the hashtag #DivasForMainEvent trended when Charlotte faced Nikki for the title on Raw before she broke AJ's record. There's no denying that they're talented enough for the main event picture and it would be a refreshing break from the usual tag team main events on Raw that usually feature Roman Reigns in some way. The fans have spoken; it's time for Vince and WWE Creative to listen.
