Far from just a dynamic display of doubles offence, the SummerSlam Tag Team Title rematch between Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and The Bar was a masterful story told to tease out any nagging unease between the former Shield members.

Sheamus and Cesaro had alluded to the fiction that may still flow underneath Ambrose and Rollins' new bond as if it were the pink mood slime from Ghostbusters 2, and tested it further in a dismantling of the duo in the match itself.

Destroying 'The Lunatic Fringe' in the latter stages whilst simultaneously restraining Rollins, Cesaro and Sheamus were swift and cynical, but couldn't topple the guts and determination of the champions. And when the titleholders did strike, they did so with cohesion and killer instinct. Back-to-back finishers aided their title retention, shooing away more accusations that their kinship isn't fully restored.
