9. Goldberg Vs Lesnar

WWE provided another shock in their remarkable handling of Bill Goldberg's return, as 'Da Man' decisively destroyed Brock Lesnar yet again.

In one of the highlights of the Rumble match, Goldberg again caught Brock with his devastating spear, and casually dumped him from the fray before Lesnar could regain his bearings.

Big Bill dominated 'The Beast' in identical fashion to his Survivor Series demolition, leaving an incredulous Michael Cole to exclaim on commentary that he'd simply got Brock's number.

The delirious Lesnar sold the whole thing fantastically again, as he briefly tried to come to terms with the reality that November's destruction was no fluke.

With the two appearing a lock for WrestleMania since the first Toronto clash, it was interesting to view how WWE were going to to confront the pair's first significant face-off in the Royal Rumble match in order to maintain intrigue enough to get them both to the 'Show of Shows'.

Yet another short, sharp shock was just the tonic, with Brock's position firmly on the back-foot denoting a completely different build-up for 'The Conqueror' as he prepares for presumably one last shot to prove himself against Goldberg at 'The Showcase of the Immortals'.
