10 Spine-Chilling WWE Calls You'll Never Forget
6. "Why, Triple H, Why?"
JR's perplexed response to the whole Rikishi trying to mow down Stone Cold storyline was fully warranted at the time, and remains so today. It's still not really clear what the man behind the wheel got out of the whole thing.
What we do know is that the guy who paid him off was Triple H. This was revealed on an episode of Raw is War in 2000, when The Game joined Austin in the ring ostensibly to help him ward off a double-team attack, only to then smash him across the face with a sledgehammer.
Grabbing a handy microphone, HHH then leaned over the Texas Rattlesnake's bloodied face, and told him: "your search is over - now you know, you dumb son of a b*tch" - confirming that their short-lived friendship had come to an abrupt end.
As the WWF logo popped up at the bottom of the screen, Jim Ross closed the show by screaming at the top of his lungs, "why, Triple H, you son of a b*tch, why?" They really did use that particular insult quite a lot back in the Attitude Era, but on this occasion more than any other it was probably justified.
