5. The Ring - Part Two
TwitterSo the ring posts are in place. Huge steel bars have linked the posts together. Smaller steel bars have been put in their slots and covered by rubber mats (for televised events only). Wooden planks have been laid on top of those beams before a thin layer of foam is laid on top of them. When you picture a foam mattress, think of the thinnest, most uncomfortable mattress possible. It looks horrible to bump on. Then, the canvas is laid on top of that and fastened into position. Well, there are actually a number of canvases tied on top as WWE prides itself on the cleanliness of its ring. If one canvas gets too dirty/wet during a match, they simply whip it off while the next match's promo package is playing. Very efficient stuff.
