Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace Demian Maia has justifiability earned a reputation as one of the greatest grapplers in MMA history. He has submission victories over the likes of Ben Askren, Chael Sonnen, and Carlos Condit.

The two-time UFC title challenger has already gone on record as saying he plans to retire in 2020. Of course, as fans of the sport know all too well, plans often change when it comes to retirement.

That being said, Maia will turn 43 next November and has already competed against the best of the best. Moreover, he has recently lost to many of the top contenders in the welterweight division, so a third shot at UFC gold would appear to be out of reach.

Still, whenever Maia does decide to call it quits, he will go down as one of the best fighters to never win a UFC title.
