The next night on Raw, Rollins is understandably miffed. He cuts a promo on everything he's been through, how much hard work it took to battle through his injury to get his championship back and states that he's invoking his rematch clause. Balor says that he's a fighting champion and Rollins can have his match at Battleground. Over the next few weeks Balor gets cheap shots on Rollins while The Architect is unable to get his hands on The Demon, as Anderson and Gallows are constantly in the way protecting him. When Battleground rolls round, the pair face off and have an even match until Balor gets the win via shenanigans from Gallows and Anderson. As Rollins has left the ring and the three men are once again celebrating, AJ Styles' music hits and he walks towards the ring with the Young Bucks in tow. The show finishes with the six men facing off in the ring.
