10 Stiffest WWE Wrestlers Ever

6. WALTER

The current WWE house style is one of the safest and most heavily-regulated brands of wrestling in the sport's history. Riskier, higher-impact moves and clubbing strikes are banned, sacrificing believability to protect the wrestlers' health and wellbeing. Though this is greatly undermined by the promotion's punishing road schedule (which makes recovery borderline impossible and likely contributes to more injuries than anything else), at least the intent is noble.

WALTER is therefore an anomaly.

Sheamus is a mightily stiff wrestler, particularly by modern WWE standards, but WALTER makes him look as pillow-fisted as Ben Askren. Striking a perfect balance between brutality and safety (when have you ever heard of the Austrian injuring somebody?), the Imperium leader understands the importance and art of big bombs and stiff strikes, working them into a style informed as much by the legendary AJPW King's Road practitioners as Karl Gotch and other catch wrestling progenitors.

WALTER's chops sound like mortar blasts as they rend flesh from skin, threatening to cave in the rib cage below. Step in the ring with him and there's a good chance you'll leave with a sternum resembling hamburger meat.
