10 Strange Film & TV Wrestler Cameos You Won't Believe

10. Big Show In Waterboy

Big Show Waterboy Paul Wight, also known as Big Show, has been in numerous television shows and movies throughout his career. One of the movies he had a cameo in was The Waterboy, starring Adam Sandler. The main character is a professional wrestling fan. His favorite wrestler is Captain Insano, portrayed by Big Show. This is one of those cameos where a WWE Superstar is playing the role of a wrestler. So what makes this cameo so strange? If you noticed in the video, the interviewer is holding a microphone with a WCW logo on it. If WCW agreed to have their logo in the movie, then why change Wight€™s name from The Giant to Captain Insano. The latter name is quite weird. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ex7xsCFI_c8 Big Show€™s outfit in the cameo is also quite odd. It looks as though he is trying be Captain America with the patriotic gear he is wearing. One must assume that The Giant€™s plain black outfit was not interesting enough for a movie cameo. WCW clearly did not have a Be A Star campaign going on during this movie since Big Show€™s entire cameo centered around making fun of Sandler€™s character. Sandler is in his 30s, but speaks as if he is a child. Big Show and the announcer laugh at Sandler for sounding like a ten or eleven year old. The whole movie is a strange concept, as Sandler plays a Waterboy who becomes the star of the football team.
