The man may not really do it much on WWE television anymore, but there was a time when John Cena could commonly be found rapping his promos rather than simply speaking them. It was an interesting time in the multi-time World Champion's career, because this style helped him stand out from the rest of the crowd and endear him to the audience.

Nowadays, hearing that Cena endeared himself to anyone other than children makes many adults laugh, such is the watered-down, cartoon-like nature of his 'Never Give Up' spiel, but there was a time when the tough-talking grappler was legitimately liked by people of all ages, with his skill with lyrics playing a big part in exactly why.

In 2005,  John released a CD entitled, 'You Can't See Me', and the disc shockingly reached far beyond the wrestling bubble. Clocking in as high as #15 on the Top 20 Billboard Charts, the album incredibly outsold major artists such as Audioslave for a few weeks, and proved a raging success for the man. The thought of a pro wrestling having such prosperity in the musical world is mind-blowing.
