10 Strangest Ways To Win A Wrestling Championship
3. Outdrinking Your Opponent (TNA World Beer Drinking Championship)

James Storm liked a beer.
Or two.
Or three.
Or four, to hell with it.
James Storm likes a pint to such an extreme, borderline alcoholic degree that he made it his predominant personality trait for much of his career. Well, that and apparently being a cowboy who rides silly little beer cooler moped things to the ring. Storm, though, also invented a championship that would act as an accurate representation of who in TNA could drink the most beer, dubbing it the World Beer Drinking Championship.
Storm introduced the beer bottle belt - which was legitimately a replica WWE Championship with a couple of beer bottles Blutacked onto it - at TNA's 2007 Genesis pay-per-view, where he partook in a backstage beer drinking contest opposite Eric Young. Storm decreed that, having seemingly been shoot drinking all night, whoever could walk out the door first would be the champion. He then fell over in a manner not too dissimilar to circa-WrestleMania 39 Shane McMahon, allowing Eric Young to win his first TNA singles title.
Because he drank more beer.
