10 Strangest Ways To Win A Wrestling Championship
4. Being Undressed (WWE Women's Championship)

The official Wikipedia entry on how to win an Evening Gown match reads as follows:
"An Evening Gown match is usually contested by two female competitors in evening gowns. The only objective to win this match is the wrestler must remove the evening gown from her opponent."
It is an inherently simplistic, if not morally degrading, match, and WWE wasn't exactly new to the stipulation when scheduling Sable and Debra to contest one on a May 1999 Raw broadcast. The match, fought for the former's Women's Championship, was formulaic for Attitude Era women's matches: slow-burning, little action, and less than a minute in length. Sable won by disrobing Debra - or did she?
Shawn Michaels, WWE's fictitious Commissioner at the time, awarded the match and the championship to Debra on account of her having the nicer "puppies", though the more PG way of putting it is that Debra technically took her gown off herself, Sable having seemingly struggled to remove the red garment. Sable didn't put up a fight either. She just flaunted herself at the hard cam alongside Debra, despite having just been screwed out of her only Women's Championship.
The story goes that Sable was in the midst of a heated off-screen dispute with the company, hence the drab nature of what would be her final wrestling outing for four years.
