10 Strangest WWE Extreme Rules Stipulations

5. Extreme Makeover Match (2010)

Beth Phoenix vs. Michelle McCool WWE female wrestlers have had hardcore matches before. But in the PG Era, that got softened to be an Extreme Makeover Match. Thankfully, that did not mean that the loser was painted with lipstick and had her hair done. It simply meant that a handful of household items commonly associated with housewives (yay 1950s sexism!) €“ ironing boards, brooms, mops, hairspray and makeup €“ were laid out for Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool to use. The battle for the WWE Women€™s Championship featured a plethora of bad puns from the announcers, which really is too bad considering that Phoenix and McCool were talented wrestlers who could have carried on a perfectly good match without the silly stipulation. In the end, Phoenix pulled out the win, earning her third Women€™s Championship. Sadly, she tore her ACL two weeks later and was put on the shelf for several months.
