10 Strangest WWE Extreme Rules Stipulations

6. No Count-Out, No DQ Loser Leaves WWE Match (2011)

Michelle McCool vs. Layla The duo of LayCool had run its course by early 2011, with Michelle McCool and Layla€™s €œMean Girls€ act passing its sell-by date. With McCool set to retire, it was a perfect opportunity to hold a rarely used Loser Leaves Town match. A popular stipulation in the old territory days, you almost never see these types of matches anymore. Maybe one comes along every handful of years in WWE. McCool and Layla fired haymakers at each other for about five minutes, although the no-DQ stipulation didn€™t really come into play during the match. Layla managed to reverse McCool€™s pin attempt to send her packing, with Kharma debuting to really send Michelle off. Looking back four years, it€™s interesting to note that LayCool was criticized at times for their act, most notably the Piggy James angle with Mickie James. It still is offensive today, but to duo was given a ton of time to develop characters and show personality, whereas today€™s Divas get a matter of seconds and often have a tie-in to €œTotal Divas.€ That€™s not a longing for a return to that sort of belittling act, but it€™s not like the Bella Twins€™ routine is setting the world on fire.
