A member of arguably the most dominant Four Horseman faction in history, Barry Windham was a big star in the NWA and WCW.

Windham won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship along with the United States belt, and was also a four-time tag team champion. Windham had a short run in the WWF in 1989 as the Widowmaker, but would soon head back to more comfortable pastures down south.

1996 saw Windham back in the WWF, and logic dictates he would be billed as Barry Windham, right? Well, 1996 wasn't a time of logic in the World Wrestling Federation, so Windham was presented as The Stalker.

No, he didn't hang out in bushes outside of people's houses, but he did wear camouflage paint and was fantastically billed as being from 'The Environment'.

The gimmick didn't last too long of course, and before you knew it Windham was paying homage to his father Blackjack Mulligan in the New Blackjacks. That didn't last too long either.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
