Crime: Suing the company.

Time Served: 4 years.

A lightning rod throughout her first spell with WWE, Sable was nonetheless an important Attitude Era fixture and one of the promotion's most popular stars at her peak. Unfortunately, she fell afoul of many of her peers during this time, and found herself in the middle of a dispute with management towards the end of her lengthy Women's Title reign, leading to her being stripped of the title on-air in May 1999.

Sable quit the promotion the following month. A huge $110 million lawsuit followed, with Sable alleging unsafe working conditions and, more worryingly, sexual harassment. The next few months were messy, as Vince McMahon counter-sued for the rights to her ring name, and although the two parties settled out of court, it took years for their relationship to truly mend itself.

Returning in 2003, Sable entered a programme with fellow Playboy covergirl Torrie Wilson, her issues with the company finally resolved. Their new working relationship lasted just over a year, with Sable eventually departing to spend more time with her family in August 2004.
