Max Moon was Paul Diamond; a professional soccer player turned professional wrestler who holds the distinction of losing an Intercontinental Championship match to his former tag team partner and long-time rival Shawn Michaels on the very first episode of Monday Night Raw back in early 1993. Presented as some kind of intergalactic man from the future, Moon's costume was a mess (which, incidentally, was originally meant for Konnan before he left the WWF due to backstage issues). It was a strange blend of luchador, circuit board, cartoon character and Tron character and it looked simply ridiculous. The costume and gimmick only appeared at one pay-per-view - the the 1993 Royal Rumble, where Moon was in the ring for less than two minutes - and he was released soon after.
