10 More Superstars Who Had Better Careers Outside WWE

7. Christopher Daniels

Some of you might be surprised that Christopher Daniels worked for the WWE, but he actually did, under the mask as Conquistador Dos. This was during the WWF Tag Team Title feud between The Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian. To keep it simple, Christopher Daniels and Aaron Aguilera wore the Los Conquistadores costumes while the Hardys and Edge & Christian kept accusing each other of being under the mask. The point is, Daniels was just another light heavyweight jobber used in the WWF, and soon went back to the independent scene. He started off in Ring of Honor, but soon travelled all across the United States and into Japan. He has won either a singles or tag team title in several independent wrestling promotions, before signing with TNA in 2002. While there, he found considerable success, wrestling either as himself, a comedic character known as €˜Curry Man€™, or as one of three people to portray the Suicide/Manik character. Christopher Daniels could have been a big star in WWE, if used well. He possessed the technique to perform amazing aerial moves, notably his Double Jump Moonsault (Best Moonsault ever), had a variety of submission holds in his arsenal, and also had several impressive grappling moves, notable his Angel€™s Wings Facebuster. If Daniels had been in WWE, he could have been in the same position as Cody Rhodes is in now: a solid mid-card wrestler with both singles and tag team title reigns under his belt. While Daniels never won a World Title in either ROH of TNA, he still has demonstrated that he can perform alongside the best in-ring performers. WWE really lost a very talented athlete when they let him go.
