10 Superstars Who Never Should’ve Returned To WWE

Returns that prove the old adage; you should never go back.

WWE.comWWE.comIn life, there are some ideas that seem simply too good to be true. And believe it or not, that's also true about the wide world of professional wrestling. Romancers will tell you that you should never go back to a former girlfriend or boyfriend, as it will invariably end in tears. And in many ways, the same philosophies can be applied to WWE and its raft of former stars. Breakups happen for a number of reasons in professional wrestling (I'm going to try and spin out as many of these romance-WWE links as possible here); whether it is falling in love with someone else (WCW or TNA, for example), or simply knowing that a parting of the ways is best for everyone involved. But sometimes, former relationships get dug up again and again, with stars returning to the WWE to give it another go. Inevitably, there are differing degrees of success with each and every one of those returns. Some have worked brilliantly, as Chris Jericho is currently proving with yet another smart run in between his tours with rock band Fozzy. But unfortunately, there are plenty that have been a bit of a disaster, and have left both parties facing yet another strained breakup, with plenty of tears along the way. Whoever decided to strike up a pairing between the WWE and these guys again got it massively wrong, with some dismal booking and poorly supported characters leading to some second (or even third) runs with the WWE that really shouldn't have got past the starting post. Let's take a look at the men and women who should never have laced those boots up again with the WWE, and left it alone after their first spell with the company came to an end.
