This one almost should be a dual entry along with Hacksaw Jim Duggan but Sheik was the one fired over the situation, so he gets the honor of the having the number 10 spot. In 1987, the Iron Sheik was traveling with his buddy Jim Duggan after a WWF event in New Jersey. Duggan was the one driving the car and was apparently suspicious enough for the police to pull the wrestlers over and search the vehicle. Duggan was discovered to have been under the influence of alcohol and marijuana while the Iron Sheik was high on cocaine because, hey, it was the 1980s. A small amount of the drug was also found in the car, making matters much worse for the two grapplers. However, the real story that came out of the incident were the fact that Duggan and the Sheik were travelling together even though they were engaged in a feud and were apparently hated enemies. The incident led to the Iron Sheik being put on probation and being released from the World Wrestling Federation. Jim Duggan was temporarily fired from the company as well but brought back soon after. While the crime itself may be viewed as some as minor, the major breach of kayfabe was stunning to most fans.
