10 Superstars Who'd Benefit From A Return Of The World Heavyweight Championship

5. Stardust

No, Stardust isn't any anywhere close to being WWE World Heavyweight Championship material, but Cody Rhodes was - specifically in 2013. After years of toiling in the tag team division, he broke out as a singles star shortly following his face turn at Money In The Bank. He shone in his feud with Damien Sandow, but it wasn't until he got involved with The Authority that he really proved his worth as a future world champion. Unfortunately for the former Intercontinental champ, the World Heavyweight Championship was merged with the WWE Championship before he could chase it. Since splitting up with Goldust, he's been a regular on "WWE Superstars" and has had his talent go to waste. And though he deserves credit for making the most of the Stardust persona, he'll never fulfill his full potential in WWE until he ditches the face paint. Even after he reverts back to the Cody character, what will he have to contend for? He's already held the Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team Championships on countless occasions. And there's virtually no chance he chases the WWE World Heavyweight title with so many others in line ahead of him.
