5. Ricochet
WWE obviously see something in Ricochet. He’s been given prominent positions in big, multi-man matches and delivered spectacular performances when called upon. He even got a brief US Title reign. It can’t be said he’s been lost in the shuffle like Cedric Alexander or his old mucker Aleister Black. Then again, neither has he been given any memorable feuds or storylines.
Ricochet is a special performer but that isn’t enough to avoid being normalised in modern WWE. Creative needs to present him as special for the fanbase to fully get behind him.
What better way to do that than by weaving a classic underdog tale that sees a complacent Beast caught out by the smaller man’s freakish agility?
The title match would be brilliant. Lesnar always works well in these David vs. Goliath battles. Plus Ricochet would bump around and sell his opponent’s offence like a Dolph Ziggler you can care about.
It might be time to airlift ‘The Future of Flight’ out of the US Title hunt and elevate him to the main event scene.
