2. CM Punk Walks Out Of The Company With The WWE Title
This is Punk's second entry and one of the greatest acts of title thievery in WWE history. Before the Money In The Bank PPV in 2011, CM Punk announced that his contract was coming to an end and that he was going to leave the company with the WWE title. He then dropped his infamous pipe bomb, during which he pondered whether he'd take it to New Japan Pro Wrestling, or maybe to Ring of Honor. However, no one thought that he would. He couldn't possible walk out with the belt... MITB rolled around and owing to a distraction from Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis, CM Punk hit the GTS and pinned then-champion John Cena, winning his first ever WWE title. After foiling Alberto Del Rio's attempt at a cash-in, CM Punk absconded from the ring, and the company, leaving through the crowd with the WWE title in his possession. Unfortunately for the white-hot storyline, he returned 8 days later, but, for a week, it truly appeared that a real-life theft had taken place and that a major wrestling organisation had actually had their flagship belt taken from them. But that could never actually happen. Right...?
