10 Surprise WWE Returns That Immediately Transformed Title Matches

It may prove to be unnecessary to include 'The Hugger' in the Raw Women's Title Match at such late notice, but if nothing else, a fourth body to figuratively and literally carry Nia Jax can only assist Alexa Bliss, Emma and Sasha Banks in making the contest broadly enjoyable.

Bayley's character has been obliterated by main roster micromanagement, to the point that less than a year removed from her Monday Night Raw debut, Brooklyn SummerSlam fans vociferously booed a wordless shot of her bonding with Sasha Banks ahead of her contest with Alexa Bliss. It was a staggering reversal for both women, having presented one of the greatest matches in company history to the very same crowd just two years prior.

Originally more beloved than Banks, it's subsequently been Bayley that's absorbed more boos than 'The Boss'. Her title reign was littered with booking missteps that managed to bodge a satisfying WrestleMania build by virtue of obliterating Charlotte's pay-per-view winning streak just one month before the 'Show Of Shows'.

Unquestionably a favourite to unseat Bliss (if indeed anybody will), Bayley's sudden return and victory could perhaps atone for her miserable first experience with the strap, but she may be better served finally entering into an NXT re-write with Sasha in an effort to salvage them both.
