WWE Has No Idea What To Do With Her... (WWE News)

WWE creative currently has "no vision" for Jordynne Grace.

Having not been in action on SmackDown in three months, there's now a smidge of an update on Jordynne Grace's WWE status.

Speaking on Fightful Select's The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp said that Grace is "at TV sometimes", but that WWE currently "has no vision for her". Doubling down, SRS said that creative simply doesn't know what to do with the Juggernaut at the moment. Sapp's Hump co-host Jon Alba noted how much hype Jordynne arrived in WWE with, and that he was "really curious" at what's happened with the former three-time TNA Knockouts Champion.

For those keeping track, the last time Jordynne Grace wrestled on main WWE programming was the 17th April edition of SmackDown, where she came up short against Tiffany Stratton in a match to crown a new number one contender for the Women's United States Championship. She has wrestled four WWE Main Event bouts in the time since then, the most recent being a loss to Kiana James on the 18th June episode. There was also a SmackDown dark match defeat to Blake Monroe in May, too.

Grace wrapped up her time with TNA in January 2025, going out with a loss to Tessa Blanchard at Genesis, and she'd formally sign with WWE later that month. The incredibly talented powerhouse would soon find herself in and around the NXT Women's Title picture, but she'd come up short in her several shots at that prize before settling into a heated rivalry with Blake Monroe. January of this year would see JG moved to SmackDown, and she'd actually be the first and only successful title defence of Jade Cargill's reign as WWE Women's Champion.

There was an ankle injury scare for Jordynne in a dark match against Alba Fyre this past March, but she was back in action the following month. As for why she's not being used in a more prominent way, it looks like this is a case of the WWE creative team being short of ideas, which is pretty baffling when you consider how good she is and how the women's division on both main roster brands have struggled in the aftermath of WrestleMania 42 - including Women's World Champion Liv Morgan having not defended her title once on TV/PLE since 'Mania, Liv's 'Mania opponent Stephanie Vaquer having been completely absent since the end of April, and plenty of uncertainty surrounding WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley as she recovers from a meniscus tear.
