10 Surprises WWE Could Pull At Backlash 2018

3. Big Cass Beats Daniel Bryan Clean

After he returned from knee injury, Big Cass immediately set his sights upon Daniel Bryan. Fans were still reveling in the fact that Daniel had been cleared to wrestle again after a series of concussions had forced him to retire two years ago.

Cass needs something to distance himself from former partner Enzo Amore, so a match with Daniel Bryan should do just the trick. The one problem is that the only story behind the match is that of Cass being larger than Bryan.

People can argue all they want that Daniel is only just back, so he shouldn't be losing right away. But what about Cass? He's also not long returned. If WWE were smart, they would have Miz be the distraction that allows Cass to get the win. That means it wouldn't be the cleanest of wins, while leaving both men looking strong and furthering the beef between Daniel Bryan and The Miz.
