10 Surprises WWE Could Pull At Extreme Rules 2018

1. Rampaging Beast

With Brock Lesnar fatigue at an all-time high among WWE fans, the company must do something to address his morbid stranglehold over the Raw main event scene.

Sadly, this might not happen until much, much later than anyone wants. SummerSlam has been pegged for a potential Universal Title match, but there's also speculation that 'The Beast Incarnate' may hold onto the belt until he fights Daniel Cormier in the UFC, meaning January at the absolute earliest. By that point, it wouldn't even be worth getting angry about anymore.

Having their Universal Champion show up at Extreme Rules is the biggest surprise WWE could realistically pull at the pay-per-view. They could use the opportunity to set up his next opponent by having 'The Beast' wreck whoever they choose, leading into another lopsided feud where Lesnar never shows up, leaving his foe to do all the talking heading into SummerSlam. Or, if they're feeling particularly adventurous, the could even have Braun Strowman cash-in on the big purple brute, sending him back to mixed martial arts once and for all.

Both are borderline fantastical, but Brock hasn't wrestled since April. It'd be great to see the company do something with him soon.
