10 Surprising Cameos By WWE Wrestlers In Cartoons

1. Randy Savage - King Of The Hill

Randy Savage is a pretty unique character, even in the weird and wonderful world of pro wrestling. His intense personality and unmistakable voice made him a true celebrity both inside and outside of the industry - making him a recurring favourite for voice over work.

In 1996, Savage appeared in Dexter’s Lab as the god-like, Rasslor... who was unsurprisingly a wrestler. However, this character differed slightly from the 'Macho Man' himself, as he did his wrestling in outer space with intergalactic opposition.

Coincidentally, Savage would return to 2D outer space in 1997 for Space Ghost Coast to Coast, a parody of 1960s Hanna-Barbera cartoons with a surrealist, anarchic twist. This time, Savage played the part of Space Ghost's grandfather in a hilarious and criminally forgotten cartoon appearance for the wrestling icon.

Perhaps Savage’s best turn in the recording booth came in 2007 for King of the Hill. In the episode "Bill, Bulk, and the Body Buddies", Savage plays the part of Gorilla, one of three crazed bodybuilders who take over the local gym. Gorilla is basically Savage in 2D form, complete with bandana, beard and one-liners. The fiery 'Macho Man' knocks it out of the park once more and is absolutely superb.

If you're a fan of Savage in any way, this episode is compulsory viewing and the line of "no agony, no bragony" is one that needs to be immortalised as a Randy Savage t-shirt.

Ooooooh yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!
