Who’s on the team? Akira Tozawa, Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Gran Metalik, TJP
Despite their lackluster handling, the Cruiserweight division over on Raw is actually stacked with a ton of talent, the likes of which could make for a cracking team for Survivor Series. Even if we factor in Neville’s apparent walkout, a best of the Cruiserweights line-up would give any team a run for its money.
Akira Tozawa, a former Cruiserweight Champion, brings the technical proficiency to the table, while there are few on the roster—under or over 205 pounds—as dynamic as Cedric Alexander. The inclusion of Rich Swann then gives you your speed, while Gran Metalik is one of the best, and most underrated, high-flyers the company has ever had on its books.
And then if you want to bump the team up to the full five-man quota, in TJP you’ve got a 33-year-old 18-year vet who won the Cruiserweight Classic back in 2016.
Hypothetically, it all makes for fairly impressive reading, but given the way the company positions the Cruiserweights, it likely wouldn’t be so rosy in reality.
