10 Swerves That Could Happen At WWE Survivor Series 2015
6. Alberto Del Rio Costs Roman Reigns WWE Title In Final
How the final of the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament plays out depends entirely on how the company want to lead into WrestleMania. Simply giving Roman Reigns the belt as a babyface would be one suggestion, but that's the most obvious route for the promotion to go down. There are other ideas, one of which also involves sneaky antics from Alberto Del Rio. If Reigns beats Del Rio (even if it's a clean win), the recently-returned star will be out for revenge. Alberto's character has always been about achieving his "destiny" in WWE, which he sees as being the WWE Champion. Therefore, if Roman advances, there's a good chance it won't be the last he sees of his villainous semi final opponent. There's a story to be told with Del Rio costing Reigns the final. Even if it's for one night only, Alberto could be doing the bidding of The Authority. Later on television, he could reveal that he received a healthy sum of money from Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to stop Roman Reigns from winning the gold. This plot direction is simple, but it keeps Del Rio looking like a real bad dude. Further to that, it also keeps Roman's chase for the title chugging along and sets up a placeholder programme before Royal Rumble.
