10 Tag Team Wrestlers Who Left Their Partner For Better Things

10. Mabel

Tag Team: Men On A Mission Vince McMahon has had a variety of attempts at creating an €˜urban€™ act, most of which have usually come across as parodies of stereotypes; making it abundantly clear that Vince has not spent much time amongst that €˜street life€™. Men on a Mission were a tag team made up of Mo, Mabel and a rapping manager called Oscar. Oscar offered us rhymes such as €˜His name€™s Mo and his name€™s not Joe€™ and €˜I got my boy; he€™s willing and able, what€™s his name? His name is Mabel€™. Watch out Jay-Z. Surprisingly the team were actually reasonably over with the crowd, thanks to their fun, light-hearted spirit. They even managed to win the World Tag Team Championships, all be it for two days. Two years after M.O.M debuted, Mabel received a heavy push as an individual competitor; he became one of the biggest heels in the company and even won The 1995 King of the Ring competition. He redubbed himself King Mabel and Mo was demoted to the role of his former partner€™s manager. Unfortunately, as soon as 1996 the pair were both released due to King Mabel€™s reckless in-ring performances, which caused injuries to various wrestlers. In 1998, Mabel was offered another chance with the WWE; this time under the alias Viscera. This gimmick came with gothic attire and a bleach blonde Mohican; Big Vis soon became a member of The Undertaker led stable, The Ministry of Darkness. However, once the stable disbanded, Viscera wasn€™t given a great deal to do. He was once again released and then repackaged as €˜Big Daddy V€™ but as the pattern went, the company were short of ideas for the big guy. Mo was not offered another opportunity by a major wrestling company after his initial WWE release.
